Ben entered the world of rare and fine wine in 1993. He has played a vital role in the successful growth of Hart Davis Hart Auction Co. since its inception and is currently acting as Senior Vice President and Senior Consignment Advisor. His insight into various facets of the wine market has assisted in cultivating relationships with important collectors around the world. Blessed with boundless energy and a refined palate, Ben is extremely knowledgeable with Bordeaux, having had extensive experience tasting the classics of the 19th and 20th Century.

Ben first held the gavel at age 25 making him one of the youngest fine wine auctioneers of his time. Having now overseen well over 250 commercial auctions, Ben has developed a personable style that has earned him praise as one of the industry’s leading fine wine auctioneers.
